OUR SERVICE SCHEDULE
OUR HEART FOR OUTREACH
Every outreach we do was born in prayer. On Thursday nights, as we gather before the Lord, the Holy Spirit has given us clear vision and direction for how to impact our community. From schools to families in need, from local events to global missions, we are committed to shining the light of Christ in tangible ways.
What’s Happening Now
Our outreach vision is always moving forward, and we are excited about what God is doing right now through Shalom Hebraic Christian Congregation.
- Monthly School Prayer – During this school year, we will be visiting middle schools in Humble ISD once a month. On the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m., we will gather outside each school to pray for students, teachers, and families. We believe this consistent prayer covering will bring lasting impact in our schools.
- Ten Commandments Posters – We are also preparing to donate framed posters of the Ten Commandments to classrooms, declaring God’s Word in the halls where our children learn and grow.
SCHOOLS
Getting involved is a great way to grow in faith and build meaningful relationships. Whether through serving on a team, joining a small group, or participating in community activities, there are many opportunities to connect. We invite you to take the next step and experience the joy of being part of a vibrant church family.
In 2023, the Lord spoke to Pastor Ruth: “They took prayer out of public schools in the 70’s, and I want you to go put it back in the schools.”
- 55 framed posters to Humble ISD
- 20 posters to Porter ISD
- 100 posters to Aldine ISD
- 10 posters to Lone Star College, Kingwood
BACKPACKS
Partnering with Humble ISD’s Erase the Need event, we provide both backpacks and Bibles to children.
- In 2024, we supplied 100 backpacks filled with school supplies and 100 Bibles.
- In 2025, we expanded to 500 backpacks with 500 Bibles.
Our prayer is that every student receives not only tools for learning but also the eternal truth of God’s Word.
CHRISTMAS OUTREACH
Each Christmas, we invite underprivileged families to a special evening filled with joy and hope. Families enjoy:
- A warm holiday meal
- Fun games with prizes
- Beautifully wrapped gifts placed under a large Christmas tree—each child receives presents with their name on them
- Clothing, household items, and gift cards for parents
Through this outreach, we celebrate the gift of Jesus by blessing families in a way that reminds them they are deeply loved.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
We also partner with Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child, sending shoeboxes filled with essential items and toys to children across the world. Many of these children would never receive such gifts otherwise.
Why We Do It
We believe God is honored through all of these efforts, and as we help our community, we are building a brighter future for our kids and families.
